As part of the month-long Older People's Festival The Customs House, in conjunction, with a range of local partners, have organised a whole day of special entertainment. 10.00am & 2.00pm - Electric Edwardians. The discovery of Peter Worden of the Mitchell & Kenyon collection has been described as film's equivalent of Tutankhamen's tomb. This treasure trove of 800 films of extraordinary footage provides an unparalleled social record of everyday life in early 20th century Britain. 1.00pm - All Saints Primary School. Pupils from All Saints Primary School has worked with older people from the borough to produce a performance piece based on an Irish theme. 3.30pm -The Angels of the North present The Victory Show Customs House regulars Gwen Doran, Helen Russell and Jean Southern present a medley of songs and sketches celebrating victory in Europe.
