Led by Hull Truck’s Associate Director, Nick Lane, PlayWrite is a course in which new and experienced writers can learn and develop their writing skills. Participants discover what it is to be a playwright; from how to write for the stage to delivering a commission, looking at character, plot, dialogue, structure, redrafting, working with directors and everything else in-between. Throughout, participants were encouraged to work towards writing a full length play and the PlayWrite Festival celebrates and showcases their burgeoning talent - the culmination of eight weeks of imagination and creativity!
