Romantic comedy set in New York. Jessica Stein, despairing of ever finding Mr Right, answers an intriguing personal ad placed by another woman. To her surprise, she and funky downtown hipster Helen Cooper click instantly, and the two women proceed to muddle through an earnest, but hilarious courtship, making up the rules as they go along.
