The 5000 Fingers of Doctor T
T0
A brand new technicolour print of the only film ever written by the famous American children's author Dr Seuss, ...and it looks fantastic! 9-year-old Bart is forced to endure boring piano lessons by the stern Dr Terwiliker. But when Bart falls asleep at the keyboard Dr T's anger knows no bounds and the child is imprisoned in an awesome palace, alongside 500 other little boys forced to play Dr T's own music on a giant keyboard. Totally original in every sense, this 'children film' can also be seen as a surreal take on Freud, psychoanalysis and the anti communist politics of the time.
