Winner of Best Film Award at Locarno Film Festival 1977, the film stars Athol Fugard and Marius Weyers in a seminal tale of loss and despair. Marais is persuaded to retreat to an isolated farm in the Western Transvaal. Whilst there however he falls into a tormented spiral of drugs and despair and is left to confront his demons, both from his past and present.
