A mansion in Jersey, Grace and her children (who suffer from an allergy to sunlight) wait nervously for Grace's husband to return from the war. Grace's nerves are stretched to breaking point as the children claim that the house is haunted, so when three servants emerge from the fog one night they appear to be the answer to her prayers. But are they the blessing they seem to be or something far more sinister and deadly?
