Gideon lives in Los Angeles but still cherishes many of the trappings of his past life in the Deep South. There is tension between his two grown up sons, one dutiful and respectful and the other more interested in the pursuit of money than family. But when enigmatic and potentially dangerous figure Harry (Danny Glover) returns from the past things suddenly get much, much worse.
