Vietnam, 1965. The 2st Battalion of the 7th Air Cavalry ride into the La Drang Valley (the Valley of Death) by helicopter to engage the People's Army of North Vietnam. Gibson plays Lt Col Hal Moore, commander of the mission, who vows that no man will be left behind. Alive or dead. Based on true life events that shaped the next ten years of the war.
