Full Length 16: Sand vs Solaris/Saloon vs La Jette

T0
Two of the UK's best rising bands take on two of the most influential sci-fi films of all time: Sand, whose second album Still Born Alive (Satellite) was a hit earlier this year, bring their futuristic, warped soundscapes to Andrei Tarkovsy's 1972 Russian epic Solaris. Support from south London's folk-tronic 5-piece Saloon, who recently released the acclaimed (This Is) What We Call Progress (Track & FIeld). They turn to Chris Marker's stunning 1962 short La Jetee, which influenced The Terminator series and Gilliam's Twelve Monkeys, La Jetee takes the form of single still images of a post apocalyptic landscape.
