Details

Three funny people rush round an endless carousel of objects and images in a play that resembles a moving picture book. One after the other different characters emerge from a large cupboard at breakneck speed as if in a live cartoon. Familiar scenes become absurd, objects appear in ever changing situations and there is never turmoil as things go wild and stuff just keeps popping out of that cupboard. A Lady in the Cupboard was awarded two prizes in 1993: the Signaal Prize for best performance for children and The Hans Snoek Prize for young audiences in The Netherlands. For 3-6 year olds.
