It’s the story of a Prince who wanted to marry a real Princess, who is sensitive, kind funny and beautiful both inside and out. He sets off across the world on his quest to find her but realises the answer to his dreams is closer to home and with the help of a small green pea finds her at last. A Real Princess is an enchanting, engaging opera for the under fives. Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Princess and the Pea, this charming story is brought to life by singers and musicians from the Chorus and Orchestra of Welsh National Opera.
