An Opera for Children. Ardhowen is delighted to welcome back Opera Theatre Company for this exciting project which brings together Belfast born composer Stephen Deazley, and writer Eilis Ni Dhuibhne, professional singers and musicians, and local primary school children in a specially-written opera, for children which forms the ideal introduction to this magical medium for a young audience. The children taking part will have worked extensively with members of the company to create their won material which will be integrated into the finished opera, which will receive two fully-stated performances using sets, costumes and lighting. Supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
