In this kitchen, Grandma is cooking soul food together with her daughter and granddaughter. Whilst they spend time preparing their meal, the family exchange stories, songs and jokes about their experiences of life and their love of food. Experience the smells and sounds of a Caribbean kitchen. Age 7-11 The evening performance begins with work from Nevel Vassel. Nevel is a popular Jamaican Poet, Folk singer and Storyteller who performs under the stage name of 'Africjam Poet'. Nevel orates his poems to traditional Jamaican mento music and has his audiences in stitches one minute and a serious and reflective mood the next.
