This is the famous story of Peter, an adventurous boy who goes to stay with his grandfather on the edge of the Great Forest. All the favourite characters are present - the bird, the cat, the duck and of course the wolf, all help Peter to explore his new environment and have a great adventure in the forest. Wonderful animal puppets and a fantastic life-sized wolf make this one of Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre’s most successful and enjoyable productions. Originally composed to introduce children to the different instruments of an orchestra, Prokoviev's exciting classical score is the inspiration for this ingenius puppet show. No high tech special fx or computer manipulation here, but a mix of shadow, body and near lifesize puppets with which Da Silva have intrigued young ones for nigh on forty years.
