A 130-strong company of 10-19 year olds recounts Italy's most famous children's story in a vast outdoor promenade production. There'll be magic, marionettes and a moral. Not to mention a few free treats. Now we wouldn't lie about that would we? There will also be a free performance of scenes from Pinocchio in Portsmouth on Saturday 2 August, at Gunwharf Quays, time to be confirmed. Oaklands Park
