All ages are welcome. Together, Helen East and Rick Wilson, create a dynamic combination of words, rhythm, movement and music. Themes are explored with humour and ingenuity, following thin threads of reason and connection, winding through pathos, hilarity, fatalism, realism and fantasy. Traditional tales are told with an ear for the needs of a modern audience. Ancient and urban myths sit side; history echoes pure story; rozzums, riddles and dilemmas tease the brain and invite debate; dance tales demand full-scale participation. One moment the listeners are held in concentrated stillness, the next they are clapping, shouting and laughing, caught up in a crazy co-ordination game, or tongue-twisting chorus.
