Production details
Adapted from the classic children's story by Oscar Wilde telling the tale of the friendship between the statue of the Happy Prince and a little swallow who alights between his feet on his way to Egypt for the winter. The story portrays a picture of urban wealth and poverty struggling side by side. Using acting, puppetry and large animated sculptures, the performance contrasts the harsh realities of a city in winter with breathtaking scenes of the warm Egyptian paradise that awaits the little swallow. Interlacing the narrative line is spell-binding music specially composed by Andrew Dodge, making this a magical experience for children and adults alike. Age 5+ MET Studio
