Details

On the Little Mermaid's fifteenth birthday, she visits the world above the sea for the first time and falls in love with a prince. She braves a journey to the evil sea-witch, to whom she must sacrifice her voice and tail in exchange for legs. From then on, whenever she walks, it feels as though she is dancing on knives, as a reminder of what she has sacrificed for love. The Little Mermaid will see the auditorium transformed into an underwater world inhabited by mystical and marvellous creatures, some friendly and some not so friendly! Amid this watery world we meet the beautiful Alani, daughter of the powerful Mer King and niece of the enchantingly evil Sea Witch, Koranda. Aided by her faithful friend Gem, a giant orange seahorse, Alani embarks on a quest to win the heart of a sea faring royal, Prince Taradin. With some bad intentioned help from the Seawitch and interference from Banta and Snak, the hilarious shark duo and the seawitch's faithful servants, Alani finds herself out of her depth - is she prepared to sacrifice her charming voice in return for her wish? What will her father say? Will they all live happily ever after?
