A much loved family favourite. Kay is lured away by the Snow Queen who captures his heart - his only hope is his friend Gerda - but what can she do against so powerful a woman. This brand new production of the classic H.C. Anderson story is performed with a cast of six puppeteers and musicians. Supported by the Arts Council of England it brings together two premier companies - Norwich Puppet Theatre and Green Apple Theatre of Helsinki - under the direction of Luis Z. Boy. The story of the Snow Queen is told in an artistic manner drawing on visual theatre and live music. The magic of the stage makes even the most mundane objects (coffee grinder, shoes, spoons, a bed) appear magical and beautiful in their new role. For 5 years to adults.
