For 5 year olds and upwards. In the attic of a Victorian house, a dull brown toy theatre is neglected by its owner. Every night the theatre hosts a performance of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' with actors made of paper and card. The penny plain actors are sad as no one comes to see the show. Jack, the paper actor, decides that something must be done to make the theatre popular again and sets out on an adventure in Victorian London, which takes him from penny plain to tuppenny coloured.

When paper puppets from a fading Victorian theatre come to life, their fortunes change forever... come to the intimate Burton Taylor studio to hear and learn about Victorian life... An accompanying workshop will take place at the Oxford Playhouse. Places can be booked through the box office. Ages 5+
