A dark version of the Greek myth for older children. Long ago in the strange and mysterious labyrinth of Knossos on the island of Crete, there lived a monster, half-man, half-bull. The royal prince Theseus set out to conquer this dreadful creature, known as the Minotaur, but little did he suspect what dangers lurked for him in the darkness of that terrible maze. Here is one of the oldest and most famous of Greek legends, retold for young people.
