Keeping much of Stevenson's vivid language, this production also uses a strong visual, physical theatre style, original music and sea shanties, to bring an action packed story to life. Three children discover a mysterious chest in a spooky old holiday cottage. They open it and excitedly plunder the treasure trove of eye patches, cutlasses and flags. One child is drawn to an old dusty manuscript, and begins to read... and suddenly they all find themselves on a pirate ship! Ages 6-12 years
This event takes place in Penlee Park - in the event of bad weather it may be relocated to the Acorn
