When the Lights Went Out

T01904704096
Telling the story behind Divali - the Hindu Festival of Lights. Two performers bring alive the ancient Indian world of Sita and Ram, the legendary lovers whose separation by the evil Ravana caused the sun to descend into night. Their re-union brought light back into the world. Using story-telling techniques with masks, puppets, song and dance, the performers breathe stunningly visual life into this magical tale for children. Age guide 6-11 years. Duration 50 mins
