Simon Russell Beale without memory or desire Shakespeare performance. We look forward hugely to Simon Russell Beale's Ernest Jones Lecture on Performing Shakespeare. Simon is soon to open in The Winter's Tale at the The Old Vic; he is one of the UK's very best Shakespearean actors, remembered for his internal and extremely intelligent Hamlet, for example. He has spoken at an Institute event before, on Psychopathological Characters in Shakespeare, with special reference to Iago and MacBeth, when he fascinated the audience with his thoughtful insights'. Michael Brearley, President, The Institute of Psychoanalysis. Time: 10.30am - 1pm. Lecture followed by reception.
