'I began to take dance classes at the same time that I started work on my PhD in molecular and cellular biology.' After submitting his thesis Xavier Le Roy withdrew from biology to practice as a choreographer. In the solo lecture-performance Product of Circumstances biology and biography come together as Le Roy takes a thoughtful and witty look at the connections between two very different worlds. Le Roy is resident artist at Berlin's Podewil centre; Product of Circumstances continues his work's challenging investigation of the body.
