BIG The Musical

BIG The MusicalT0
Yesterday Josh wanted everything in life - girls...money...cars...Today, all his wildest dreams have come true! For 12 year old Josh, life was a little unfair until one day he made a small wish...to be Big! Now, magically, he's grown-up 23 years and 3 feet overnight! If his boss finds out he'll fire him and if his girlfriend knew she'd be arrested. Deep down he's just a boy in a man's body, taking an adult world head on and winning. You'll never forget Big - a special comedy that'll make you feel years younger. Based on the motion picture starring Tom Hanks.
Author John Weidman
Music David Shine

User Review: 15Jun06: What a shame all that hard work and dedication from the performers did not produce a showstopper. The production was too long and the enthusiasm of the orchestra was too much for the performers voices. Sitting 6 rows from the front and could not hear a word that was sung. Regrettably Big the musical has far too many musical numbers which were instantly forgettable or may not have been if lyrics could be heard. There was potentially a good show as the main characters could have made it Big without all the unnecessary musical numbers. If the performance was aimed at 10-12 year old audience then it succeeded. Regret being critical of any production as appreciate the committment and hard work involved in any production but in this instance perhaps quality rather than quantity would have made Big Bigger.
