USER (01Nov06): UK Productions Ltd present Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” Birmingham Hippodrome, Tuesday 31 October 2006 This new UK national tour is a stunning winner in every department. Yes, it’s a mix of fairytale fantasy and even a bit of knockabout panto. The kids loved it the mums and dads and grannies too. Nic Greenshields is a giant of a Beast, Jo Gibb a delightful Belle and Michael Quinn a Grease like villain. The principals are excellent but above all it’s a real team effort and the whole audience loved it. The music is pleasant and there’s a proper orchestra to back the performers. The sets are great, the special effects sparkling and the dancing dazzling. In other words it’s a great night out so enjoy. Clive Fuller 5
