Dreamboats and Miniskirts

Dreamboats and MiniskirtsT01033383370
It's 1963, and the world is changing. Bobby and Laura's hit single Dreamboats and Petticoats has not taken off. Norman and Sue have settled down to non-marital bliss - and a baby! But Ray and Donna seem blissfully happy... The advent of the Beatles and the Merseyside sound is inspirational. But will it inspire Bobby and Laura to have one more shot at stardom - Norman to "get off the drains" and find that singing voice he has longed for, and Ray to realise his ambition and manage a really top pop act!? All will be revealed in a follow up with the same wit, charm, and great songs as Dreamboats and Petticoats.

simon (15Sep15): Went to see this show twice in a week at Mold! both matinee's Wed/Saturday- fantastic- i'm 48 and went with my niece the second time on saturday-live theatre, you cannot beat it- terrific music and sound- the cast were individually and as a group terrific- the cavern scene on Wed gave me the goose bumps! - i,m a big Roy Orbison fan- best voice ever and Alex beaumont hit all the right notes on It's Over which is no mean feat, Tony Lister, your hilarious, perfect timing- Laura, Elizabeth Carter- flawless convincing performance, Josh Tye/Derek- brillant moves and timing-Joseph Pitura-Riley, outstanding on the trumpet- Ross Wild- tremendous energy and vibe Anna Campkin- classy polished and feisty Ray, i think has recently taken over from someone else played the part with great vigour- the 2 girls on the sax were superb with their playing and moving- a little i could go on about the remaining cast but i left the theatre feeling the world was a better place- to all the cast you gave the people at Mold a great time- i love the Arts and Dreamboats and Miniskirts thanks to all the cast and crew reminded me how much this world of ours is a better place with good music and a sound that symbolised a special time- to all the crew and cast ....please take a very big bow- good luck to each and every one of you for your future 5

Alan & Elly (30/07/15 (31Jul15): Saw it last night very disappointed having seen the previous Dreamcoats & Petticoats which was brilliant. Sorry to be so negative but the singing was second rate and the performance seemed hesitant...could be because it was the start of the tour and it will hopefully tighten up. The sound quality wasn't what you would expect for the Hippodrome, the balance between the band and the singers was erratic. If they can sort out these little niggles it will be a great show 2

Fan or was! (28Mar15): We went to,see the show on Rhyl last night - good show but singing from Laura (understudy) was piercing! Perhaps sound technician problem. The singing from Donna was also unclear.
