On a Clear Day You Can See ForeverT1652662624
The classic Broadway musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever will finally receive its British premiere, more than 30 years after it was first seen in New York. The story of reincarnation, psychoanalysis and time travel will open at the fringe Bridewell Theatre in London on 10 January 2000, with previews from 7 January, and will continue until 12 February 2000. The 1965 stage musical was later adapted into the 1970 Hollywood film starring Barbara Streisand and Yves Montand. Daisy's smoking threatens her engagement to an aspiring corporate high-flyer. When she turns to psychoanalyst Dr Bruckner for help, he discovers that she has extra-sensory powers. She knows when a phone will ring before anybody else hears it, she can locate other people's misplaced keys and she can make flowers grow just by talking to them. Even more curious is her insistence that she lived a previous life as Melinda Wells, a feisty 18th century lady, far removed from her present incarnation as timid, easygoing Daisy of 1960s Manhattan.
