The Story of Eva Cassidy

Over the Rainbow is a compelling musical which tells the life story of this legendary artist, following Eva's life through dramatic scenes and stunning live renditions of her music including a haunting interpretation of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'. Tracing Eva's life from the age of 10 growing up in a musical family, to her first professional gig aged 18, her first meeting with her boyfriend and mentor Chris Biondo, a rousing recording at Blues Alley with Chuck Brown and culminating in her poignant and tragic death at the tender aged of 33. This moving show pays a genuine and heartfelt tribute to a true artist who was not interested in fame and fortune, but wanted nothing more than to create beautiful music.

Helen Sampher (21Sep14): saw this show yesterday in Skegness and was AMAZING! Cried buckets as it was so emotional. Fabulous production by all the cast and Nicole in particular was superb. Thank you for a wonderful evening. The best money I have spent all year.
