The Glenn Miller Story

The Glenn Miller StoryT01874193306
It's been over seventy years since Glenn Miller disappeared over the English Channel as he flew to Paris to entertain the troops during the Second World War. Did he crash? Was he shot down? Will the mystery ever be solved? Brought to the stage for the very first time in a brand new musical spectacular, is the life, fame and vanishing of America's most famous big band leader, whose music defined an era and story stunned the world.

User Review: 12Sep16: Tommy Steele has music in his soul! For those of us who knew he was telling the story by showing us what it was all about and not trying to be Glenn Miller thoroughly enjoyed the show and I agree his voice hasn't changed if you close your eyes and listen to him he could easily be that 20yr old sailor again. ☺️

Jim (24Feb16): Either the fold back failed or these people cannot hold a note
Karen hunt (06Jan16): Wonderful.....Tommy was brilliant....his voice sounds the same as it did all those years ago. Highly recommend it. 5
Sue Bennett (31Dec15): Peter Griffin- did you audition and get turned down????You could not have seen the same show that I did!Yes,there is some artistic license ,but surely that's what theatre is all about, making the imagination live???Tommy Steele shines on stage ,I hope when I'm his age I can be half as energetic! The wonderful music and awesome ensemble make the whole show a feast of nostalgia and pure entertainment! 5
Dennis Sellwood (10Nov15): Saw it in Cardiff on 9 November, full house. Wonderfulentertainment.Tommy endearingly himself. 5
June Phillips (29Oct15): Agree with Peter Griffin - very poor. Surely you could find a younger man for Glen Miller. 1
Peter Griffin (24Sep15): Was at the show on 19th Sep in Glasgow what a rip off. Miscast, ham acting. A Steele/Kenwright con.Not even the music could save this abysmal expensive evening. Rubbish.Tommy Steele should have got on the plane and disappeared at the beginning of the show and saved us the misery of watching his pathetic attempt at portraying Glenn Miller 1
Bill Lynch (20Sep15): Saw the show in Glasgow Sat 19th Sept was really great would recommend it to all Tommy Steele fans a remarkable performer at 78 years old 5
