Wish Upon a Prince is a comic fantasy musical based on the fairy tale of "The Frog Prince". The story is about the handsome Prince, Henry Of Something-Or-Other, who's quite a snob and in order to teach him a lesson he is turned by The Lady Q into a frog. In the search for the Princess who will release him of the curse, he arrives at the royal pond of King Fabulous of Jolly-land, and tries to avoid the wooing of three female frogs that see him as a worthy match for them. One day, when Claudine, Jolly-land's spoiled Princess, gets upset with all the weird spoiled princes that have come to ask for her hand in marriage, she runs out to the garden and carelessly drops the royal gold ball... straight into the royal pond. Prince Henry, who is now Frog Henry, volunteers to retrieve the ball but wants three wishes fulfilled in return; that the Princess will invite him to dine with her at her royal table and? the princess won't hear of it and storms off. Realising she has to get her ball back she returns to hear the prince's second wish which is to sleep in her bed and before he manages to tell her the third wish she promises to keep it all (with no intention of keeping any of them). Henry returns the royal ball to Claudine, quite sure that soon the spell will be broken and he will get to go back to his homeland "Something Or Other". Henry's loyal servant, Strudel, finds him after a very long search, and is ready to help the prince in every way possible. But the Princess doesn't keep her promises and has Henry thrown out of the palace. Henry has no choice but to pursue Claudine until she keeps her promises, and while doing so he manages to befriend the King and Queen, the green tenants of the royal pond and even Claudine herself, though she doesn't admit it at first. As the story proceeds, Princess Claudine learns the meaning of keeping one's word and Henry learns to appreciate others, no matter whom or what they are. The rest is fairytale history.
