As the Ghosts spirit Scrooge from his past to his present to his future, Dickens plunges the reader cinematically from the miser's dank and creaking house in the City to riotous festivities, from cozy hearths to graveyards. And all the time the author's voice, tender, savage, magisterial, is present.

User Review: 18Dec19: Went to see 'A Christmas Carol' at the 'Hen & Chickens' in Highbury, St Paul's Road tonight. It was fabulous. Not what we were expecting. Great fun and I was pulled out of the audience to dance with Scrooge. We had great time and would definitely recommend!
