Sir Ian McKellen was in the first performance on the Crucible stage. Since then he has played a lot of Shakespeare, visited Middle Earth and starred as Captain Hook to Daniel Evans' Peter Pan at the National Theatre. There have also been a couple of solo shows that took him to South Africa, Europe and the USA. Now a new one brings Sir Ian back to Sheffield to celebrate the opening of the new Crucible.
