A trans-world tale of T-Rex exile in a 1970s schoolgirl is taken from her Jackie pop stars posters and rainy North East England to the dry, dusty roads of Apartheid South Africa. Can she be true to herself or will this glam-rock, Springbok culture-shock shake her to her platform sole? Carol McGuigan's tour de force one woman show is a kaleidoscope performance, playing across gender, race and age as she tells a sharply observed, wickedly funny and movingly truthful story based on her own experiences. Punctuated with music from the time, fragments of cinematic memory and told from the poignant perspective of teenage uncertainty.
