It is 1867 and Belfast is booming. The novelist Charles Dickens is preparing for one of his celebrated readings in the recently-built Ulster Hall. In his one-man show, noted Ulster actor and director, Sam McCready, plays Dickens as he shares amusing observations on Belfast and its people, interwoven with extracts from his best-known novels and moving stories from a tumultuous life.
