BAC Associate Artist Kazuko Hohki returns with the next stage of her exploration of the small but perfect world of Borrowers. Kazuko, a Japanese chemist and inventor of Zenpill "the Japanese Prozac" stands accused of stealing products from her lab. She, however, insists they were taken by Borrowers. To prove her innocence, she sets up the website www.borrowersunited.com, and meets Bob, a self-proclaimed Borrower. Their emails lead her into the Borrowers' realm, where she can dream and believe in a miniature utopia. After the success of her solo trilogy (Toothless, The Shining Princess, My Husband Is a Spaceman), Kazuko now ventures into a world inspired by her childhood obsession with the little people.Performer Kazuko Hohki.

We play a cough sweet tin, in a salad bowl spoon and other carefully re-created borrower instrumentation, in a mix of Borrower rhythms and melodies. It should be surprising and affectionate and will be performed in an unexpected place.Performer Kazuko Hohki.

Is that a mouse? Is that a rat? No, it's a Borrower! Small and timid Keiko, ex Zenpil (Japanese Prozac) maker, is on a journey towards discovering the existence of her life long obsession - the Borrowers. She comes to the UK (turning over all likely looking floorboards in every B&B that she stays in) and through a sea of enquiries about mortgages, Keiko finds the love of her life in Bob...the Borrower.Performer Kazuko Hohki.
