Double Booked - T01743837364

Ginny Davis returns to the OJST with a clever and witty one woman show following the Edinburgh Fringe and 2009’s Old Joint Stock sell-out TEN DAYS...THAT SHOOK THE KITCHEN. A modern "sandwich generation" mother of teenagers can deal with school detentions, driving lessons and her own mother’s confusion but lands in trouble when she spares the truth in an effort to keep up appearances. Where there are sex, lies and videotape, the truth will always out... and what others have been hiding proves to be much more interesting...

Ten Days... That Shook the Kitchen - T01292974009

A tale of family life. Ginny Davis, performs her comic, bitter sweet monologue, which details ten days in the life of Ruth Rich, a middle-aged, middle-class, misfit, modern mum. With an embarrassing, and somewhat flatulent, husband whose mind is elsewhere and three whingeing kids, Ruth's days are filled with the activities that are immediately familiar to mothers everywhere: children's swimming lessons, run-ins with the school secretary, parents evenings, visits from the critical in-laws and an unforgettable visit to a public lavatory. The bane of Ruth's life is her 34DD-cupped friend, Timmy's Mum. Ruth's role in the relationship is to make Timmy's Mum feel better about herself. Timmy's Mums is to make Ruth feel worse. Things look up when Ruth prangs the car into dangerously good-looking Millie`s Dad`s BMW. They meet again at the PTA event..... Will her honour/marriage survive? This humorous one-woman show, with music, was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008 where it earned sell-out performances.
