Suman Biswas

After taking a break from performing with his double-act Amateur Transplants, Suman returns with his piano to perform the funniest, most inventive comedy songs around in a preview of one of two solo Edinburgh Fringe shows. The pair started writing parody songs together at medical school in the late 90s and recorded their first album in 2004. Their first viral hit was the iconic London Underground Song, in which Suman voices the sweary frustration of the capital's tube passengers, and it helped lead to sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2005. The duo has produced three further albums, all of which have topped the iTunes Comedy chart (even knocking Tim Minchin off the number one spot). In 2010 they completed a successful tour of the UK, ending at the IndigO2. The YouTube views of their darkly humorous re-imaginings of well-known pop & rock classics number well over 20 million.
