Tammy WhyNot is Lois Weaver's performance persona. She claims to be a trailer park survivor who gave up a career in country music to become a lesbian performance artist. Tammy loves people and she loves to talk. She is also incurably curious. For the last 15 or so years she has applied her fearless curiosity to a project called What Tammy Needs to Know... about education and class; high art and popular culture; feminism and femininity and most recently, aging and sex. The Tammy Show is a front line report on these and other subjects from the back porch, the schoolyard and the dinner table of Tammy's research. The Tammy Show is high camp and real talk in a talk show format that includes: fact finding reports, personal testimony, trailer trash poetry, on the spot interviews, and naughty songs. Tammy will be launching her new CD with titles such as: This Lemon Still Got a Whole Lot of Juice; Sex Comes Easy to Those Who Pray and her old favorite, She Puts the C***Back in Country.
