Woven together from the stories of people who experienced it first hand, Tom's show celebrates a raucous, riotous time in the life of central London where sexuality was for exploring, HIV was causing tragedy, and rights were to be fought for.

In this intimate performance, Tom conveys a story of hospital visits, uncharted journeys, broken connections and rejuvenation. Tom has suffered from varicose veins for a number of years, causing discomfort, embarrassment, and a particular relationship to his legs... After a series of operations, the varicose veins are now gone, but fresh scars remain, reminding Tom of the metaphors he sees in his hereditary condition and a series of routine operations. A newly found confidence encouraged Tom to enter the Pretty Polly search for Legs 11, their Brand Ambassador for 2011. Tom delved into a world of celebrity, stockings, photoshoots, beauty pageants and gender misadventures.
