Production details

A double-bill of Britten's rarely-performed Church Parables comes to the beautiful Holy Trinity Church in South Kensington. The story of The Prodigal Son, with its emphasis on repentance and forgiveness, is one of the best known of all New Testament stories. The Burning Fiery Furnace is drawn from the Old Testament, telling the story of three young Israelites thrown to their death in a furnace, only to be joined by an angel and emerge untouched by the fire.
