Opera or Operetta :: The Girl of Sand, inspired by Russian folk tale, The Snow Maiden, tells of a young woman's flight from a tragic past to a beautiful beach resort. This is Langer's second work for stage, following her success with Ariadne Almeida Opera 2002.
