Using Hesketh-Harvey's translations of the arias, recently performed by Scottish Opera, Merry Opera's production provides a new setting and new spoken dialogue, by Kit Hesketh-Harvey. Part-pantomime, part-opera, this new production re-lives The Magic Flute's triumphant opening night in 1791.
