This will be a family night out that you'll never forget. You might want to dress up for the occasion. Prizes for the best dressed pirates and prizes for the best dressed car. The story opens with an unfortunate case of mishearing. This results in a dramatic change of direction for Frederic who sets on a course to become a pirate rather than a 'pilot'!Presented byOpera Anywhere.

Pirates in the Peak! - T0541084361

A costumed, staged performance of The Pirates of Penzance - with audience participation - from two of the Buxton Festival’s best-loved characters and comic old hands, Donald Maxwell and Linda Ormiston, and another, more recent favourite, Rebecca Rudge. This hilarious version of Pirates is a huge hit on the London concert and cabaret circuit, and our intrepid Tiramisu trio now venture north to the Peaks with their flag waving, patter songs and general piratical silliness. Come and join in the fun of a timeless classic of British operetta. as first Linda and Donald teach us the chorus music (eye patches and music provided!) and then our trusty trio and and their fellow singers and pianist present a hastily-rehearsed performance of the Gilbert & Sullivan favourite, complete with bloodthirsty pirates, scared policemen and beautiful maidens. A fun evening for all ages and anyone who loves a good tune and good laugh!Company Tiramisu Opera. Performer Donald Maxwell. Performer Linda Ormiston. Performer Rebecca Rudge.
