The Trojans - Part 1: The Capture of Troy

The Trojans - Part 1: The Capture of TroyT1520756303
Part 1 of The Trojans chronicles the siege and destruction of Troy. This chilling atmosphere is dispelled when it appears that the besieging Greeks have abandoned their struggle and left behind tribute in the form of a monumental wooden horse. Despite warnings from the seer, Cassandra, the Trojans celebrate their apparent deliverance and drag the horse through the walls into the heart of the city as an offering to their goddess, Pallas. That night, as Troy sleeps, the Greek troops emerge from their hiding place inside the wooden horse and ransack the city. As the women of Troy lament the destruction, prince Aeneas obeys the instructions of the dead hero Hector to abandon Troy and lead a band of survivors to establish a new homeland in Italy.
