Details

Anne meets Jeffrey is a work conceptualised and created by Emma Berentsen in collaboration with Tiffany Murphy. They investigate the rape case of 'Anne', the name Emma made up for herself the night of her rape. Seven years after the attack, 'Anne' had a meeting with 'Jeffrey', the perpetrator. Anne Meets Jeffrey explores the challenges posed by witnessing and remembering, especially in the face of trauma, through live performance, video and sound. An intimate and engaged performance about the fear of dying, losing dignity and reclaiming power by facing your biggest fear.
