BE FESTIVAL shakes up the idea of conventional theatre by crossing borders, disciplines and blurring traditional boundaries between audience and artist. Best of BE showcases BE FESTIVAL's favourite European theatre, dance and circus performances. From Italy comes 'Quintetto' by TIDA a razor sharp and interactive comedy and physical theatre piece. Next, from Spanish company Grumelot, ?#Sobrejulieta' uses English, Spanish and projected video texts in a contemporary adaptation of a love story full of excess. Finally from Ireland's Squarehead Productions, 'The Whistle' by Darragh McLoughlin is almost genius in its simplicity and funny and poetic narratives. During the interval, the stage will make way for a pop-up restaurant where audience members and actors are invited to enjoy a meal together under the spotlights. Best of BE Festival website.
