Details

One of Britain's leading actors, Julian Glover, will be interpreting the mighty tale of Beowulf, the earliest written poem of its kind in Old English. He will take you on the exciting journey of the great hero Beowulf, slayer of dragons and defender of lands. Glover has reworked and edited the poem for the stage and has been performing it for over 30 years. At the matinee performance Julian will tell the story alone for the last time. Embracing original oral tradition, in the evening his son, Jamie Glover will join him on stage to conclude the tale. Julian will never perform it again; henceforward the story will be told by Jamie.
