Many musical writers spend months racking their brains searching for that perfect story, but today, right now, someone, somewhere, is involved in one. It might be the crowning of a king or a fight over who does the washing up... but it's a story. Over 2 weeks, 6 groups made up of composer, lyricist and book writer will be given one day each to select a piece from that day's newspaper and use the story to write a short musical. If you are coming to an evening performance, you can drop in early for free and see that day's musical performed in the cafe - or come back for the finale on Sat 19 Feb and see all six in one night.
